This project was done for the City of St. Charles as a part of their renovations to First Street Plaza, and helps to power the plaza as well as send excess energy back to the grid. Our team worked directly with the city to coordinate this custom project around other ongoing construction projects at the site. St. Charles is its own utility, which can be a challenge when applying for interconnection on solar PV systems because they often have their own rules and regulations. That being said, our team’s locality and experience helped bring this project to life seamlessly. Next time you’re in St. Charles, make sure to take a walk next to the river at First Street Plaza!
