Big Star Mexican Restaurant is a staple in Chicago’s Wicker Park. In 2023, we began talks with them about how they could integrate solar energy into their new renovations. The restaurant added a brand new roof to create a new section of the restaurant, with solar panels on the pitched roof sections overhead. We also put solar panels on the existing flat roof above the dining room. This project marks only the start of Big Star’s sustainability goals coming to life, and we are excited to continue working with them.
