Commercial farms are fantastic candidates for going solar, due to their large energy usage, typically having little to no shading on the property, and being eligible for the commercial solar incentives that Illinois offers.
This particular project in Malta, IL, was installed on a standing seam pitched roof, at a farm that focuses on organic grain farming. At Windfree Solar, we have been fortunate enough to work on solar installations with commercial farmers all across the state, and we would love to continue that trend.
